Nashville Wedding at Vanderbilt and Cannery ONE

Even though Alexis and Kyle live in NYC they brought all of their friends and family to Nashville to celebrate their wedding. I’ve noticed that a large percentage of Nashville weddings that I photograph are of couples who live in Chicago, San Fran, DC, NYC, and Florida.  These two met while in college at Vanderbilt which is why they wanted to show their love of Nashville with their friends and family.  

Beyond the two of them being stellar people we were able to work with one of my favorite wedding planners in Nashville. Christina Logan was next level on putting together this beautiful wedding that had so many moving parts.  The day began with the bridal party getting ready at the iconic Hutton Hotel, and riiiiiiiight as Alexis put her on wedding dress the rain began pouring down!  So in order to avoid get soaking wet we photographed all the portraits under canopies on Vanderbilt’s campus and under the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge.

What do Cops and Gynecologists have in Common? 

The day was a nonstop party concluding at Cannery Row.  During the reception Kyle’s brother delivered a phenomenal best man speech! At one point he said, “Alexis and Kyle both do their parts to keep the streets of NYC clean! He’s a cop and she is a gynecologist.”  And then I found myself taking photos of everyone dying laughing!
